What:
Theatre technicians of all experience levels are invited to submit Techinical Theatre Applications as part of the Unified Auditions. Dozens of Charleston's top directors and producers will be in attendance looking to fill their technical theatre needs for the 2013/2014 theatre season. All experience levels in all aspects of tech theatre are invited to apply. You must be at least 18 and an Individual Member of Theatre Charleston to participate. All applicants are invited to participate in the Tech Round Walk-Thru session. Participation in the Walk-Thru is encouraged but not required.

If you are not a member yet, it’s easy to join! Theatre
1. You will have 2 minutes to tell the auditors a little about who you are, your strengths, and what kind of opportunities you are looking for. If you have a portfolio or samples of your work, you are welcome to bring it/them. After your 2 minutes, if time provides, you may be asked follow up questions by some of the theatre representatives in attendance.
2. Walk-thru slots will be given in the order applications are received. Each person will be given a special TECH session number.
3. Tech applications are encouraged to include with their application- a SINGLE current picture (jpeg if emailed or hard copy if mailed) and 15 copies of your resume. Please do not include your resume unless you send 15 copies. Auditors will receive a copy of your audition application, a wallet sized version of your picture (provided by Theatre Charleston), and your resume (copies provided by you). Resumes may also be dropped off at The Footlight Players Theatre,
4. The purpose of the Tech Round is to give both technical theatre artists and producers/directors an opportunity to see and be seen. The Walk-Through session should not be perceived as any sort of formal job interview, but is intended to make the first step between connection tech artists with producers.
6. Participating theatres include but are not limited to Actors’ Theatre of South Carolina, Art Forms and Theatre Concepts, Creative Spark Center for the Arts, Deuce Theatre, The Flowertown Players, The Footlight Players, Midtown Productions, PURE Theatre, South of Broadway Theatre Company, Threshold Repertory Theatre, and The Village Repertory Co.
